Gaggenau Unveils the Expressive Series

Gaggenau debuted the Expressive Series hosting launch events in Los Angeles and New York City marking the US introduction of their first entirely new built-in series of appliances in nearly two decades — sculptural appliances redefining today’s kitchen through the visual philosophy: Two Frames, One Circle, A Piece of Art. Distinguished guests and esteemed Black Jacket Society chefs were immersed in a hands-on experience celebrating the intersection of design innovation and culinary expression.

California 2024

Gaggenau gathered California’s culinary elite at the newly renovated Quince in San Francisco, welcoming three acclaimed chefs into the Black Jacket Society. The intimate evening celebrated fine dining, artistry, and the anticipation of the California MICHELIN Guide Ceremony.

New York 2023

Ahead of the first-ever regional MICHELIN Guide Ceremony honoring restaurants from Chicago, New York, and Washington, DC, chefs from Gaggenau’s Black Jacket Society came together at Two MICHELIN Star Aska in Brooklyn to discuss the finesse and polish behind the fine dining experience for their guests.

California 2023

Ahead of the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony in San Francisco, Gaggenau’s Black Jacket Society Chefs gathered at Val Cantu’s Two MICHELIN Star Californios to discuss the design and passion behind the fine dining experience. This is the second in a series of dinners and conversations with noted Black Jacket Society chefs and will be continued in various other locations.

Miami, FL

In celebration of Gaggenau and the MICHELIN® Guide’s ongoing partnership and commitment to the exploration of culinary culture, the Black Jacket Society held an unforgettable event at Elcielo in Miami, touching upon the emotion and evolution of the fine dining experience.

Los Angeles, CA

In the penthouse of the Peterson Automotive Museum in downtown Los Angeles, a uniquely-talented group of six California chefs were inducted into the Gaggenau Black Jacket Society, including an honoree with the first three MICHELIN-starred restaurant in Southern California.

New York, NY

Inside the iconic Peak Lounge at 30 Hudson Yards, it was an evening full of culinary stars as seven MICHELIN-starred chefs were inducted into the Gaggenau Black Jacket Society. A triumphant celebration, Chef Eric Ripert and Chef Daniel Humm continued their restaurants’ three MICHELIN-starred legacies.

Washington, DC

A globally-inspired event at the French Ambassador’s Residence in Washington, DC set the stage, in the spring of 2022, for the induction of several world-renowned chefs into the Gaggenau Black Jacket Society.

Chicago, IL

The kick-off event for the Gaggenau Black Jacket Society was held at Chef Noah Sandoval’s two MICHELIN-starred restaurant, Oriole. Oriole’s contemporary-industrial interior, located in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood, was the backdrop for the inaugural event, where guests delighted in Sandoval’s seasonally-inspired delicacies.
