The Expressive Dialogue at Design Miami, manifested the core philosophy of the new Gaggenau Expressive oven series. A physical interpretation of the fair’s theme, ‘Make.Believe.’, visitors explored the dialogue between the tangible and the imagined.
A rounded focal point enticed visitors into the space where a member of staff directed them to the Make. section exhibiting the Gaggenau Expressive series. Inspired by Kunsthausbregenz, the oven was displayed in green marble: material and architecture united to celebrate the beauty of that which is sculpted by hand and thought. Here visitors were able to engage with the piece, gain a sense of it and appreciate the immaculate detail.
The Gaggenau Expressive series illuminates as you approach, its chamfered-edge passepartout staging your culinary creations, the defining floating control ring offers carefully considered haptic feedback, a demonstration of ‘seductive functionality’.
Across the circular centre was the Believe. section where visitors were invited to let their imagination wander within the installation. A layered revelation of the same Gaggenau Expressive series, this time rendered as an ethereal vision, suspended in light. Glowing like a Miami sunset, it represented the joy of use, something the Designers term ‘emotional power’.
