Peti Lau Inc. is a bicoastal full service interior design studio specializing in high end residential and commercial designs in Los Angeles and New York. Peti believes that good designs should always have an opportunity to tell a story. “I believe that my clients have the innate desire to expand- and I am the facilitator for that experience to help them create the homes they dream of.”
She lives in a 1925 Islamic revival duplex by architect Carl Kay. It was built as a compound with white stucco and turrets—a Moroccan magic castle in the middle of West Hollywood.

The last time the house went through a major renovation was 36 years ago, so the Gaggenau appliances in the kitchen are all vintage. Being an avid cook and entertainer, the tools she uses are essential to how she moves around the kitchen.
Her kitchen features a double electric wall oven (EB 663-620) and a white gas cooktop (KG 223-804). According to Peti “the previous homeowners selected Gaggenau because they were clean, modern, and fabulous. And they told me if they had to select new appliances again, they would without a doubt select Gaggenau again. And I feel the same way.”

Peti has developed a signature style she coined AristoFreak™ , emerging from her early career in Thailand, Mauritius, and Europe and through her adventures as an expatriate, influenced by her love of art, travel and an eclectic lifestyle. She redefines boldness, elevating romance & boheme, mixing in a taste of the eclectic & cheeky. The firm has been featured in publications including Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, the Wall Street Journal, HGTV, and 1st Dibs to name a few.
Peti expresses her worldly inspirations with eclectic colors, patterns and textures to create a unique vibe in all of her spaces.

As a member of the Gaggenau Club 1683 she values the special attention she receives from her Gaggenau concierge as well as other advantages. “It’s like having frequent-flyer status on an airline. I want to be able to grow with the company and the brand, because it has a lot of integrity. Having that trust is essential, not only as a designer, but also as a user.”
JUST FOR FUN Peti is a trilingual jill-of-all-trades. Aside from designing, she’s traveled the world, owned a restaurant, a cocktail bar, launched a clothing line for chefs in Bali, Hawaii and India, and studied to be an opera singer and classical pianist. And she loves hot air ballooning.
