Gaggenau with Airport Home Appliance and in partnership with Luxe Interiors + Design, welcomed an exclusive gathering of architects and designers for an evening merging design, culture, and culinary mastery. The event featured an intimate discussion with acclaimed author and editor Newell Turner, presenting an insightful exploration of his book Mexican: A Journey Through Design. Through vivid imagery and personal reflections, Turner explored Mexico’s dynamic architectural and interior design landscape, from centuries-old traditions to contemporary expressions of artistry.

Following the engaging conversation, guests were treated to a thoughtfully curated four-course tasting menu by Gaggenau Chef Paul Tang, each dish expertly paired with Volans Tequila. The menu highlighted bold flavors inspired by Mexico, brought to life using Gaggenau’s appliances. Delectable bites included birria-style duck tostadas; hamachi ceviche, fennel, orange, avocado, cucumber; cauliflower savory tart with butter-poached lobster with salsa macha; ending with sopapilla cheesecake bites with cinnamon and piloncillo glazed rotisserie pineapple with tequila caramel sauce. Cristina Allen, co-founder of Volans, paired each course with carefully selected tequila guiding guests through the brand’s heritage and composition of each tasting.

With a select group of 21 attendees, the evening fostered meaningful connections within the design community while reaffirming Gaggenau’s commitment to innovation, craftsmanship and culinary excellence.
