Visual minimalism, maximum efficiency

Having pioneered downdraft ventilation in Europe in 1976, we have continually perfected it. Its discreet presence and quiet efficiency facilitates the modern culinary culture of the kitchen as an entertainment and living area. The downdraft ensures the entertainment space is kept vapour and aroma free, enabling a clear line of sight between the private chef and their guests. Just as importantly, the private chef is free to design their personalised, modular cooktop, without compromise.

Perfectly matched

The modular Vario cooktop range inspires the private chef to create their bespoke workstation. Choosing framed or frameless options from the Vario 400 series range of induction enable performance cooking using large cookware up to 32 cm wide. Additional gas cooktop or gas wok, Teppan Yaki and electric grill appliances can all be interspersed with the downdraft ventilation to remove vapour at source.

Being a Vario 400 series appliance, the downdraft ventilation employs the same stainless steel control knobs as your other choices from the Vario cooktops 400 series. Precise and intuitive, the controls illuminate when in use.

Control is achieved via its stainless steel knob or can even be set to automatically self-regulate depending upon the vapour it detects in the air.

Frameless or framed, the choice is yours

Your Vario induction cooktop 400 series can now be installed with or without a frame, the stainless steel finished downdraft ventilation has been designed to complement either option. Similarly, surface- or flush-mounted installation is down to your aesthetic leanings.

Quietly efficient

Thanks to the design of the inner frame, a new dual V shaped filter that makes best use of the high performing fans and the 15 cm width, the downdraft ventilation achieves an exceptionally high vapour catch rate, even on its minimum setting.

The automatic function removes the need to monitor the air quality. The sensitive air quality sensor detects and quietly extracts odour and vapour, using the quietest, lowest power level necessary. The low noise levels are achieved thanks to powerful yet quiet motors with advanced noise reduction technology.

Effortless cleaning

The dual grease filter is easily removeable, thanks to two ergonomic handles and a guided exit which prevents oil from spilling from the grease tank. The design of the grease tank ensures it remains upright when placed on the worktop, protecting the chef and worktop from its contents. The dual filter ensures that no residue is left in the housing and due to its perfectly symmetrical shape, reinsertion is easy. Made from anodised aluminium, the appliance housing has the smoothest surface for cleaning, offering unrivalled hygiene.
