The Gaggeanu Expressive series 76 cm oven door is made up of 90 components, held together by 70 screws, only two of which are visible. We spoke to those who create these complex, beautiful machines.

What is it that you like about your work?

“The collaboration is very important, we all work quite closely together. We know almost everyone and I have the feeling we have the same mindset: to create a very good level of appliances that our client will be happy with. I think that’s why we are happy working here and it’s also why we are a good factory. It’s like a small, big family.”

What’s the most challenging aspect of your work?

“When you close the door, it has a sound. This has been controlled. It is just one, really small thing. It is not so difficult to, let’s say make an oven, but to bring it up to this, the highest level of quality, yes, it’s quite hard.”

What’s your favourite Gaggenau appliance?

“I’m sticking with the classic: EB333, which for me best represents the Gaggenau brand due to its sleek yet solid appearance, and which has one of the largest stainless steel fronts, which is the heart of my work.”
