Planning notes

  • Air extraction operation in combination with remote fan unit GB 031. One GB needed per VL 051.
  • Please refer to page xxx for recommended configurations of downdraft ventilations and remote fan units and the needed ducting elements.
  • Maximum cooktop width between two VL: 60 cm (exception: CK 270).
  • Maximum distance between cut-outs: 5 cm.
  • Centre VL 051 between Vario appliances.
  • Combination of VL 041 and VL 051
on one fan unit not possible.
  • Do not operate next to VG 231 gas wok.
  • Allow for maximum extension height 400 mm.
  • 90° rotation this position.
  • When combining with gas appliances, use maximum height setting (400 mm) only.
  • Rotation range above gas cooktops (VG 232, KG 260) must be limited with metal pin (included).
  • When installing a ventilation hood with air extraction mode and a chimney-vented fireplace, the hood's power supply line needs a suitable safety switch.
  • Do not fit in drawer area.
  • Minimum worktop height 90 cm.
  • For maximum duct lengths use Gaggenau flat rectangular ducts AD 8… or Naber-System Compair flow. Other flat ducts are not permitted!
  • Duct connection DN 125 cylindrical, downwards.
  • Please ensure when installing the exhaust air ducting that no sharp bends are caused and that the cross-section of the ducting is not constricted in any way.
  • When used in an island solution with strong air draft, exhaust power can be affected.
  • For downdraft configurations with maximum lengths of exhaust air ducts go to Rodun at www.gaggenau.com.

Connection

  • Connecting cable 1.5 m with plug.
